About the Event

Located in the Caparaó mountain range, on the border of the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, the Caparaó National Park is one of the most sought-after destinations for mountaineering enthusiasts in Brazil. It is home to the third highest point in the country, Pico da Bandeira, with an altitude of 2,892 meters. In addition to the trails, visitors can enjoy swimming in waterfalls and natural pools, and observe stunning views of the Serra do Caparaó mountain range and region, with beautiful spectacles at sunrise and sunset. The park has four camping areas, accessible through the Alto Caparaó entrance in Minas Gerais – “Tronqueira and Terreirão” – and through the Pedra Menina entrance in Espírito Santo – “Macieira and Casa Queimada” – with restrooms, dishwashing areas, tables, benches, and kiosks (the latter only in “Tronqueira”), as well as barbecue grills in the visitation area called “Vale Verde” and in Macieira.
