Island Girl Triathlon and Duathlon

Join us at Texas' largest crystal clear lagoon in one of the hottest new communities in the Houston area. This LADIES ONLY race will include a Sprint Triathlon and Relay as well as a Duathlon for those just not ready for the water.  Your open water swim will be in the crystal clear waters of the Lago Mar Lagoon where your race will end and the fun begins on their white sand, palm tree-lined beaches.

The Sprint Triathlon will consist of a 300 meter swim, an 8-mile bike and a 2 Mile run.  The Duathlon will start with a 1 mile run and then the same 8-mile bike and 2 Mile run as the Sprint Tri.  All athletes will finish along the beach and be greeted with margaritas and more, and you are welcome to stay and enjoy all the amenities of LagoonFest after.  You'll swear you were in the Caribbean and not Houston!

All athletes will receive a custom race bib and tech t-shirt/singlet along with other yet-to-be-determined, Island-appropriate swag.  You will also be eligible for age-group awards, and they will be something worth winning for!  Your entry also includes admission to the LagoonFest for the day, and discounted options for your friends and family.  Come celebrate the ladies in your life at a race full of encouraging women of all skill levels; this race is perfect for first-timers and all triathletes.

Awards in Age Groups:

• Sprint :  Top Overall and Masters (no double dip),  Top 3 in 0-14, and 5 year age groups 15-19 up to 70+
• Athena:  Top 3 individuals  
• Relay : Top 3 teams
• Du: Top Overall, and Top 3 in 0-19 and 10 year age groups up to 70+.
