About the Event

The 110K course begins its journey from Buzet, taking runners through the heartland of Istrian countryside. The route is characterized by traditional inland trails that wind their way across picturesque landscapes. As participants progress along this scenic path for approximately 20 kilometers, they will merge with the longer 168K trail and embark on an ascent to some of Istria's highest peaks.
The terrain transforms into a more challenging climb as runners push forward, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and rewarding those who persevere. This section not only tests endurance but also provides ample opportunities for runners to appreciate the natural beauty that defines this part of Croatia.
Participants can expect a mix of rolling hills and dense forests before reaching the peak. The atmosphere is electric with the camaraderie among fellow athletes, all united by their shared passion for running in one of Europe's most stunning settings.

Buzet is a town in Istria, west Croatia, population 6,133 (2011). The historical core of Buzet dates back to the Middle Ages, and today Buzet is known as the town of truffles. Buzet is also known as the home of Croatian motorsport, and every year the "Buzetskidani" hill climb race is held here. It is currently part of the European Hill Climb Championship.
