Cornerstone Park serves as an ideal setting with its sprawling green spaces, bird sanctuary lake, walking trails, basketball courts, volleyball facilities, picnic pavilions, restrooms, barbecue areas, and ample parking spots. The park's diverse landscape offers runners scenic views and a mix of desert terrain during their laps around the course.
Since its inception in 2019, Jackpot Ultras has grown to become one of Southern Nevada’s most inclusive running events. It attracts participants from all walks of life—world record holders alongside first-time ultramarathoners—as well as adaptive athletes and visually impaired runners. The event is known for fostering a welcoming environment where everyone can push their limits in an encouraging atmosphere.
The course, located within the 100-acre Cornerstone Park, features a certified short loop that measures precisely 1.17 miles (or approximately 1.88 kilometers). This route comprises mostly hard surface and includes four small bridge crossings every lap. At an elevation of just over one thousand nine hundred feet above sea level, runners will experience relatively mild weather conditions with average high temperatures around sixty-eight degrees Fahrenheit during the day and mid-forties at night.
The race course is designed to cater to both seasoned veterans aiming for personal records as well as newcomers exploring longer distances. The terrain offers gentle elevation changes of about forty-five feet over each loop, making it a fast-paced track suitable for various endurance disciplines.
On race morning in February, runners can expect firm and slightly soft trail conditions with moderate UV exposure levels. Temperatures will hover around the mid-sixties Fahrenheit during daylight hours, dropping to low forties by early evening. There is little risk of precipitation due to typical dry winter weather patterns common throughout Southern Nevada at this time.
The race offers a 100 Mile Short Course | 160.9K (fee=$225.00), 100 Mile USATF | 160.9K (fee=$225.00), 48 Hour (fee=$275.00), 24 Hour (fee=$195.00), 12 Hour (fee=$140.00), 6 Hour (fee=$100.00), 50 Miler | 80.5K (fee=$135.00), and a standard 100 mile race in addition to the USATF championship event.
Registration for Jackpot Ultras can be completed online at https://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=138131 with fees ranging from $100 up to $275 depending on the distance chosen. Early bird discounts are available until December 31st, and registration closes two weeks before each event date.
Race day check-in will occur at Cornerstone Park in Henderson, Nevada starting Friday morning by 6:30 AM for all events except the 48-hour race which allows late entry up to midnight on Saturday. Participants should bring photo ID matching their online profile as well as a valid USATF membership if competing officially.
Competitors must be eighteen years old or older and capable of completing their chosen distance within any given time limit specified by Jackpot Ultras organizers. All runners are advised to familiarize themselves with the race course layout before arriving on-site, ensuring they have proper footwear for both hard surfaces and minor trail conditions encountered along the way.
