Jacks 50K/24k/12k Trail Race

On race day morning at 7:00 AM sharp, runners will gather under a canopy of hammock trees that line the trail’s single-track path. The air is typically crisp with an average temperature around 23 degrees Celsius (73 Fahrenheit), offering comfortable conditions for early-morning running and setting the stage for what promises to be a memorable day in Palm Coast.
Established as a tribute to Carl Jack Forman II, this race has been held annually since its inception. Participants range from seasoned ultrarunners tackling the 50K distance to families bringing their young ones out for shorter jaunts of .25 miles and .50 miles respectively. The course winds along a scenic trail that hugs Oceanshore Boulevard, beginning at its northernmost point near the Atlantic Ocean. Runners will traverse 95 percent single-track trails with slight stretches of gravel to allow for spacing among competitors. For those choosing longer distances like the 24K and 50K races, additional loops add variety as runners experience different sections of Mala Compra Greenway Trail each time around. The race concludes at a marked finish line adjacent to a nearby beach access point where participants can cool off in ocean waters.

Each distance comes with its own registration fee - $60 for the 12K, $90 for the 24K, and a steep but rewarding $125 entry cost for the full marathon length event.
