Jedburgh Running Festival

Welcome to the 20th edition of the Jedburgh Half Marathon! Set for Sunday, October 25th at 11:00am, this scenic race offers runners an unforgettable journey through the picturesque Scottish countryside.
Starting from Lothian Car Park in Jedburgh (TD8 6JQ), participants will embark on a route that combines rural single carriageways and open flat closed roads. The course begins on Abbey Place, directly in front of historic Jedburgh Abbey, before winding its way into the town square and down High Street.
From there, runners head north along A68 until turning right past Woodend and over Riverside Road towards Kelso. At approximately 4 miles, a brief detour takes runners off the main road to pass Crailing Church before rejoining A698 eastward toward Kelso. Around the 6-mile mark, the route turns into Eckford for a loop back onto A698 as it heads west towards Bonjedward and then south along A68 back to Jedburgh.
The race concludes with a warm welcome on grass by the river opposite Queen Mary's House, offering stunning views of this historic site. Along the way, runners will encounter four water stations at roughly 3 miles, 6 miles, 8 miles, and 10 miles intervals.
All participants receive a commemorative medal upon completion. The Jedburgh Running Festival is proud to be LGBT-friendly and recognizes a third gender category for inclusivity.
Registration takes place in the Jed Thistle Pavilion from 9:00am on race day, where runners can collect their race numbers and timing chips. Communal changing and showering facilities are available at Jed Thistle Rugby Club near Lothian Car Park; private options are also provided upon request.
Tech T-Shirts are available for purchase until October 11th for £13.50 each. Race entries close on Wednesday, October 21st or earlier if the limit of 1000 is reached. Entry fees are £33.00 (£31 for Scottish Athletics members).
