Welcome to the vibrant morning of our community race, where runners and walkers come together to celebrate fitness and camaraderie. The day kicks off with packet pickup from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM, giving participants ample time to collect their materials before the event begins.
At precisely 8:00 AM, the first wave of racers sets out on a scenic 1.5-mile run through the heart of our city. This route offers runners an invigorating start with views of early morning sunlight filtering through trees and reflecting off quiet streets. The atmosphere is electric as participants push themselves to their personal bests.
Following closely at 8:30 AM, walkers take to a more leisurely yet equally rewarding three-mile course. Designed for all levels of fitness enthusiasts, this walk provides an opportunity to enjoy the surroundings at a comfortable pace while still experiencing the event's festive spirit.
Cut-off times are in place to ensure that everyone has enough time to complete their respective courses:
- For participants under 30 years old, runners have until 12:00 PM and walkers until 38 minutes and 30 seconds past 7 AM.
- Those aged between 30 and 39 can finish the run by 1:00 PM or complete their walk within an hour of starting at 8:30 AM.
- For athletes in the 40 to 49 age group, runners have until 2:00 PM and walkers are given a generous window ending at two hours past their start time.
- Participants aged 50 and over enjoy even more flexibility with a cut-off of 2:30 PM for running or three hours after the walk's beginning.
