Jim Mayer Trail - Family Fun Run

Join us for the eleventh annual Jim Mayer Riverswalk Family Fun Run, part of the prestigious Cambria County Trails Series. This year's event offers both runners and walkers an opportunity to explore one of Pennsylvania’s most scenic trails along the Stonycreek River.
The 5K course winds through the picturesque section of the Jim Mayer Trail from Riverside (on Michigan Avenue) to Bridge Street in Johnstown, with a turnaround point near Moxham. Participants will enjoy passing by vibrant trail art murals and crossing over the old trolley bridge en route to their finish line at the Riverside Trailhead.
A water/Gatorade station is available mid-way along the 5K loop for hydration needs. Walkers are asked to stay on the right side of the trail, ensuring a smooth experience for both runners and walkers alike. The race will take place rain or shine!
Race day activities kick off at 7:30 am with packet pickup and late registration until 8:30 am. At 9:00 am sharp, the event begins with participants setting out on their scenic journey along the trail. An awards ceremony follows promptly at 9:45 am to celebrate the achievements of top finishers in both running and walking categories.
Early bird pricing for online registration is $30 until August 1st, reducing to just $25 if you become a Friend of the Trails member during checkout. For those registering from August 1st through August 22nd, prices increase slightly but still offer discounts for Friends of the Trails members at $30 and $35 respectively.
Race proceeds support the Friends of the Trails program dedicated to enhancing Cambria County’s extensive trail network, including The Ghost Town Trail, Path of the Flood Trail, and Jim Mayer Riverswalk Trail. By becoming a Friend of the Trails through registration or by visiting their website (www.cambriaconservationrecreation.com), participants can also enjoy additional discounts.
