Jingle Bell Fun Run 2026

Join us at Barshaw Park in Paisley for the festive and fun-filled Jingle Bell Fun Run, now in its 22nd year! This annual event is designed to kick off your Christmas countdown with family and friends in style. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for an enjoyable day out, there's something for everyone.
The park will be buzzing with excitement as runners of all ages take part in three distinct race options:
- Jingle 'All the Way' (10:15 AM start): This 3-kilometer run is perfect for those who want to stretch their legs and enjoy a longer course. Open to participants aged 8 and over, this event offers runners two laps around Barshaw Park.
- Jingle Dash (11:15 AM start): For those looking for a shorter distance but still keen on the fun, the Jingle Dash is just right at approximately 1.5 kilometers. This one-lap race welcomes participants aged 5 and older.
- Jingle Jaunt (Noon start): Ideal for younger children or families who prefer to walk, this half-lap jaunt around Barshaw Park covers about 750 meters. It’s a great way to enjoy the festive atmosphere with young kids under five years old.
While these races are not timed and aimed at enjoyment rather than competition, all participants will receive Christmas-themed medals upon completion of their chosen race. To add an extra layer of fun, there will be spot prizes for the best costumes if you decide to dress up in your favorite holiday attire!
For those who love furry friends, dogs on short, handheld leads are welcome to join you during the event. Each participant can have only one dog with them.
Enhance the festive spirit by adding jingle bells to your outfit—hats, coats, gloves, shoes, or anywhere else you like! Bells will be provided upon presentation of your race number if you forget to bring your own.
In addition to the races, enjoy a free ride on Barshaw Park's miniature railway and take part in face-painting sessions. There’s also plenty of Christmas entertainment throughout the day to keep everyone entertained.
This event is organized by Active Communities, a registered charity committed to promoting physical activity, community sport, and health across Renfrewshire. Every penny raised goes directly back into supporting their initiatives.
For group bookings of 15 or more participants, please contact info@activecommunities.co.uk for assistance.
Please note that race numbers will be mailed out ahead of the event; however, any entries made after November 23rd will need to be collected on-site. No registrations are allowed at the venue itself.
There are no refunds available should you cancel your entry and in case of postponement due to adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, updates will be posted via email as well as Facebook Active Communities (@ACommunities), Twitter @ACommunities, and Instagram acommunities.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, December 6th, for an unforgettable day filled with joy and cheer!
