Jeepers Creepers 1 Miler, 5K and 10K

Get ready to run in style at the third annual Jeepers Creepers race, set to take place on October 10th, 2026, at Daniel Stowe Conservancy. This unique event invites participants to unleash their creativity with Halloween-inspired costumes and enjoy a morning of fun and fitness.
This year's lineup includes an exciting new addition: a one-mile loop on the conservancy’s crushed concrete trails for runners and walkers who prefer a shorter distance but still want to partake in the festivities. After crossing the finish line, participants can explore The Gardens free of charge with their race bibs, where they’ll find “Scarecrow Hollow,” an autumn-themed exhibit that showcases intricate scarecrows throughout the grounds.
Race day offers more than just running; it’s a celebration of community and creativity. Professional photographers will capture all the action on the course for participants to enjoy post-race through OCR photography services. For those looking to challenge themselves further, there's also a 10K option that winds its way along Stowe’s picturesque trails.
The trail system is renowned for its beauty and flow, making it an ideal setting to start your fall running season or just have some fun in the crisp autumn air. The atmosphere will be lively with costumes, decorations, and perhaps even special prizes awarded to those who go all out with their Halloween-themed attire.
Post-race festivities include fire pits where you can toast marshmallows for s'mores, cool down drinks, and a chance to test your skills at cornhole games while cheering on fellow runners. The Trailhead Store will be the hub of activity, offering refreshments and camaraderie among participants.
Awards ceremonies are scheduled following each race distance, with custom medals available during registration as long as supplies last. In addition, top male and female finishers in various age groups (from 14 years old to over 60) will receive recognition for their efforts on the 5K course, while similar accolades await those who tackle the longer 10K route.
