About the Event

On November 7, 2026, the community of Drogheda comes together for a poignant charity run honoring Johnny McKenna, a former student who passed away due to cancer. This year's event aims to raise funds and awareness for the construction of Drogheda Hospice, providing essential support services.
Participants will gather at the school grounds where registration opens alongside refreshments and pre-race amenities. The race route loops through scenic local areas before returning to the starting point, creating a supportive atmosphere filled with community spirit and solidarity.
Runners have the option to pick up their bibs and T-shirts during event week from Wednesday to Friday: 8am–4pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and 8am–1pm on Friday. Alternatively, they can choose to receive these items in advance via postal delivery a week before race day.
Join this meaningful run to celebrate Johnny's legacy and support the ongoing effort to build Drogheda Hospice.
