Jolly Holly Jog 2026

About the Event

The Hell Wath Run is set to take place on Monday, December 28, 2026, offering runners an early bird opportunity with entries priced at the 2025 rates for the first 400 participants. After this initial period and up until November 30, 2026, the entry fees will be £18.50 for affiliated members and £20.50 for unaffiliated runners. Entries submitted after December 1, 2026, will also contribute to a local charity by planting trees but won't receive a race T-shirt.
The course is approximately 10 kilometers long, winding through Hell Wath Nature Reserve and surrounding parkland. Runners can expect an undulating route that primarily follows footpaths, offering scenic views of the natural landscape. The event starts at Hell Wath Nature Reserve before heading up Whitcliffe Lane to Mackershaw Woods and Studley Deer Park. Along this path, runners will pass by Monty’s bench—a tribute to a club co-founder and former president.
The route continues through Plumpton Lane with a short but steep climb back into Mackershaw Woods, then returns via Whitcliffe Lane towards Hell Wath Nature Reserve again. The race concludes on the field near where it began, providing runners with an engaging mix of terrain that includes woodland trails and open fields.
Wheelchairs, prams, or pushchairs are not suitable for this course due to its varied nature. A detailed route map will be available at Race HQ (Panthers FC, Hell Wath) on the day of the event.
This year's race supports a local charity aimed at assisting families in Ripon during tough financial periods by collecting donations for a food bank. Runners are encouraged to bring small contributions such as tinned goods, cereals, tea and coffee, toiletries (including feminine products, toilet paper, shampoo, deodorants, and toothpaste) when they collect their race numbers.
Join us in making the Hell Wath Run not only an athletic challenge but also a meaningful community event.
