RegisterHeld on Morse Park's HomeStead and RoughRiders trail, this race qualifies for any New-Year's resolution to start a healthier and more active lifestyle!
This walkers', joggers' and bike trail is a unique treasure in SW Missouri for its nature scenes and location. The difficulty level of this single trail is easy to moderate and has previously been accomplished by runners of all ages and capabilities, although the youngest of runners may need adult supervision.
The run is held in winter, so expect not just the occasional rocks or roots, leaves or branches, but also any type of weather condition. Prepare for 60F sunny weather, 10F and snow and anything in between. Winter weather is par for the course and does not cancel the race. In extreme cases (blizzard, thunderstorm), we may delay the race a short while until it is safe to run/walk (check your email and Facebook event page prior to and on race day).
Affordable race because of the "no shirt" option and because all of us are volunteers.
All net proceeds go to Neosho Hope Kitchen, a local charity providing daily meals for the needy in Neosho.
Race shirts are optional and are guaranteed delivered on race day if ordered by Jan 11. After that date, ordered shirts are as-available.
Participants receive discount coupon for vendor snacks & drinks.
Awards to the top male and female runner.
Awards to male and female age group winners (number of winners depends on depth of the participants' field).
Finishers' medals and hot drinks to all participants.
Race is limited to first 100 registrations.
Race may start in gender- and/or group-specific waves (male runners - female runners - families) with a few minutes interval, depending on the turnout and the weather.
NO WEATHER CONDITION WILL CANCEL.

Neosho is a sizeable town in Southwest Missouri and has several monikers, among them "Gateway To The Ozarks," "City of Springs," and "Flower Box City". The latter two pertain to characteristics of the town, namely the source of numerous springs as well as a citywide initiative involving flower boxes. The name Neosho is derived from a Native American word meaning "clear, cold water".
