Journey for Change 2026: A Community Rally for Hope On Saturday, September 19, 2026, Aylmer will come together once again for the Journey for Change race to support those facing life's toughest challenges. This event was born from a shared vision of making our community stronger and more resilient by fighting side-by-side with individuals in need. Since its inception, Family Central has been at the forefront of this initiative, providing vital services such as food assistance, crisis support, mentoring programs, mental health resources, and practical aid for survival. The funds raised through Journey for Change go directly into these essential community supports, ensuring that no one feels abandoned during their darkest moments. This year’s theme, "Fight the Good Fight," encapsulates not only a physical journey but also an emotional commitment to making a difference in people's lives. Participants will have the opportunity to walk, run, cycle, or ride through scenic routes designed to highlight Aylmer's beauty while raising funds for those who need it most. The 5K route winds through local parks and trails, offering participants a family-friendly experience with stunning views of nature. For more adventurous runners and cyclists, there are longer distances available: the 12KM, 24KM, and 34KM routes along Imperial Road towards Port Bruce provide breathtaking scenery and challenging terrain. Motorcycle riders will receive detailed route information on event day to ensure a safe journey through Aylmer’s picturesque landscapes. All participants will start and finish at Steen Park, where the community spirit is palpable as everyone comes together in support of those fighting their own battles. Fundraising milestones are an integral part of Journey for Change 2026. Participants who raise $100 receive a special T-shirt to wear with pride, while those raising $500 earn a hoodie and recognition within the growing community dedicated to making meaningful change happen. Sponsorship opportunities range from Community Partner at $500 up to Legacy Partner at $10,000. Each level offers unique benefits such as social media recognition, logo placement on event banners, kilometer marker sponsorships, and more. These partnerships are crucial in amplifying the impact of Journey for Change. Join us this September 19th not just as runners or spectators but as a collective force dedicated to hope and resilience. Together, we can ensure that no one faces their toughest battles alone, creating pathways toward stability and brighter futures for all members of our community.
