J.P. Wanderwheels Lake Orion Bikepacking Adventure

Experience the serene beauty of Michigan's natural landscapes with our overnight adventure from Lake Orion to Seven Lakes State Park. Perfect for both seasoned and novice bikepackers, this journey offers an intimate exploration of local trails and back roads.
On Saturday, gather at the Lake Orion Bike & Adventure shop early in the morning to begin your ride through a mix of varied terrain—trail sections interspersed with quiet country roads. The route winds its way towards Seven Lakes State Park, where you'll be greeted by over 230 acres of tranquil water and lush greenery. Enjoy a range of activities here: paddle across the serene lakes, take a refreshing swim, or simply relax on the shore.
Midway through your journey, make a stop at Cook’s Farm Dairy for some sweet treats and a chance to meet the farm's friendly cows and playful calves. After recharging with ice cream and perhaps petting a calf, continue towards Seven Lakes State Park where we'll set up camp in comfort under the stars.
Evening is reserved for a delightful camp cookout followed by a traditional campfire. Savor some sweet snacks as you enjoy stories and laughter around the fire before retiring to your cozy tents or hammocks.
On Sunday, start with a leisurely pace, sipping fresh coffee and nibbling on light breakfast bites at Crust Coffee & Bakery in Fenton. The day's ride will take you through charming downtown Clarkston where you can indulge in some famous macaroni and cheese from the Union. Continue your journey along safe pathways back to Lake Orion.
