About the Event

Experience the thrill of running through the lush, untamed landscape of Jungle Habitat! This former Warner Brothers Safari Park has been transformed into an exciting trail network by JORBA. The park is rich with remnants from its past and may even house descendants of original safari animals. Prepare to face a natural challenge amidst breathtaking scenery.
The race offers two loop options: the Long Loop at 7.5 miles with approximately 700 feet in elevation gain, or the Short Loop covering 4 miles with around 400 feet in elevation. Marking for both loops is nearly complete and will be finalized by April 1st. The event aims to adhere to H2H race time guidelines: Cat 3/Jr runners should aim between 40-70 minutes, while Cat 2/Open racers target a range of 80-110 minutes, with Cat 1/Pro competitors looking at 100-135 minutes. For endurance athletes, the goal is to complete two long loops within four hours or one short loop plus one long loop in 2.5 hours.
Proceeds from this event will support West Milford First Aid as part of Ready Set Go Adventures’ mission to give back to local charities. Cash payouts are equal for all Men's and Women’s Pro/Cat 1 categories, with top three finishers receiving $100, $75, and $50 respectively.
Endurance participants must complete a minimum of two laps within the designated time frame to be eligible for podium positions in their category. All competitors should note that USA Cycling rules require at least three racers per category to participate.
Parking costs NJ State Parks’ mandatory fee of $5 per vehicle entry, which is payable on-site with exact change or through pre-payment online during registration. Carpooling is encouraged to help reduce fees and traffic congestion.
Nearby camping options are available at Camp Wyanokie or Wawayanda State Park, both approximately 15 minutes from the race site. Rain or shine, this event will proceed as planned; a makeup date in April may be scheduled if weather conditions necessitate it.
Day-of-event sign-ups are also available for an additional $15 fee but cash is required to expedite registration processes. Early bird discounts of up to 17% off the regular price are still available until February 14 and March 30, after which prices will increase at midnight on those dates.
