Junior Proms Dash 3K Winter Series 2026-27
Aberdeen's Beach Esplanade is set to come alive this winter with the Junior Proms Dash, an exciting series of races designed for young runners. The event promises a thrilling challenge across six Fridays from October 26 through March 27, starting at 1:00 PM sharp.
Each race takes place along the scenic Beach Esplanade in Aberdeen, just north of the Beach Leisure Centre on the promenade. Participants will enjoy running amidst the crisp winter air and stunning coastal views as they navigate a course that is measured according to SAL rules by Jones Counter for accuracy.
The series welcomes runners from Primary 5 age groups (9 years old and above) at an affordable entry fee of £2 per race, with pre-registration required well in advance. Runners are encouraged to keep the same number throughout all six races; numbers will be distributed on-site before each event but must be collected personally.
The Junior Proms Dash series features three cumulative races that contribute towards overall standings and awards given at various levels. All skill levels are welcome, making it a perfect opportunity for young athletes of any background or experience to participate in friendly competition.
Registration is strictly online; no entries will be accepted on the day of each race. For those who have registered but can't attend, there's an option to transfer their entry to another competitor by contacting the organizers via email with full details about the replacement participant.
