Junior Proms Dash 3K Winter Series returns for another thrilling season, set to take place on the picturesque Beach Esplanade in Aberdeen. This year’s series promises an exciting lineup of races that will challenge and entertain runners from Primary 5 age groups upwards.
The event kicks off with a race on November 20, 2026, followed by additional competitions throughout the winter season until March 19, 2027. Each race begins at precisely 1:00 PM, providing participants with ample time to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and stunning coastal views of Aberdeen’s Beach Esplanade.
Competitors are encouraged to register in advance for each individual event as pre-entries only will be accepted; on-the-day entries cannot be accommodated. Race numbers must remain consistent across all races within the series, allowing runners to accumulate their times towards an overall series ranking and prizes. Participants should collect their race number at registration before the start of each competition.
Located just 150 meters north of the Beach Leisure Centre along the promenade, this scenic course offers a flat yet engaging route that showcases Aberdeen’s charming waterfront scenery. The races are promoted under SAL rules with precise measurement by Jones Counter to ensure accuracy and fairness for all participants.
All proceeds from the Junior Proms Dash 3K Winter Series will benefit Abernecessities, making your participation not just about personal achievement but also contributing positively to a good cause. With various categories available for series prizes, there’s an opportunity for runners of different abilities to shine and compete based on their accumulated times over three races.
For those who have already registered and are unable to participate due to unforeseen circumstances, the organizers offer a substitute system allowing participants to pass their place to another runner by contacting the race director via email.
