K9 BIATHLON i DCU Kulhuse

Dive into the playful world of K9 Biathlon at DCU Kulhuse on August 8, 2026. Whether you're an avid dog lover or simply looking for a fun day out with your furry friend, this unique event promises laughter and joy in equal measure.
The K9 Biathlon is designed to be accessible to all levels of fitness, requiring nothing more than a willingness to walk or run alongside your canine companion on their terms. Neither you nor your pet needs to be elite athletes; however, if you're eager for an energetic adventure, this event welcomes that enthusiasm as well.
The day offers four distinct routes tailored to different age groups and activity levels:
- Børneklasse: Starting at 10:00 AM, children aged between 7 and 14 can explore a kid-friendly route of about 2 km within the DCU Kulhuse grounds. Expect mud puddles, water crossings, and plenty of fun obstacles designed specifically for young adventurers.
- Kort rute: Kick off at 11:00 AM with a shorter adult course covering around 3 km that ventures both inside and outside the DCU Kulhuse area. This route includes varied terrain such as roads, gravel paths, sand dunes, stairs, and small hills to keep things interesting.
- Lang rute: For those seeking more of a challenge, the long-distance race begins at noon with a 6 km loop that takes participants through diverse landscapes around DCU Kulhuse. Prepare for similar terrain challenges as the shorter route but over an extended distance.
- Walk rute: Starting at 1:00 PM is a leisurely walk version of the short course, covering approximately 3 km in a relaxed pace while still engaging with all obstacles and activities along the way.
All participants will receive numbered chips for professional timing by Norta/Run2U. The event site features various stands offering refreshments like water, ice cream, drinks, as well as sponsor giveaways and prizes throughout the day.
To ensure safety and enjoyment for everyone involved, dogs must be at least one year old on race day and kept on a leash everywhere except during the actual run where they should wear a harness. It's recommended that children can manage their pets independently without adult intervention.
Registration fees are 150 DKK for kids aged 7 to 14, and 175 DKG for adults from age 15 onwards. Participants must register online at the provided link before the event date.
Upon arrival, sign up in information booths starting at 8:30 AM where you will receive your start numbers with chips. Make sure that dogs wear a harness connected to their leash during the run and are kept on leashes throughout other areas of DCU Kulhuse grounds for safety reasons.
