About the Event

The Kangaroobie Klassic, an annual adventure race held every March around the Autumnal Equinox, invites participants to unite in celebration of ordinary performances against the backdrop of Princetown and Lower Gellibrand. This unique competition consists of a river swim, mountain biking, kayaking, and trail running, offering both individual and team challenges.
Competitors can choose to complete all four legs solo or join forces with teammates—ranging from duos to quartets—to tackle the race in relay style. The event atmosphere is family-friendly, making it ideal for those seeking a diverse adventure experience.
For younger athletes, two junior events are held post-main-race action: the Junior Ninja Trail run designed for 6-12-year-olds and the Gellibrand Eel Junior triathlon suitable for participants aged 8 to 14. These activities provide exciting opportunities for budding adventurers while ensuring a memorable day out.
As racers navigate through Princetown’s scenic landscapes, they will encounter rugged trails and serene river paths that offer breathtaking views. The race is known for its challenging yet rewarding terrain, providing an unforgettable experience for all participants.
