Karknocker 5K Race/Walk - 29th Annual

The 29th Annual Night Race, co-sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and M&T Bank, is set to light up East Rochester on Friday, July 24, 2026. This year’s race promises a thrilling experience for runners as it kicks off at 7:00 PM from the East Rochester School District campus located at 200 Woodbine Avenue.
The certified USATF course (NY24006KL) offers participants an opportunity to challenge their limits under the night sky, with water stations strategically placed along the route and at mile markers. The event is designed for runners of all levels, from seasoned athletes to newcomers looking for a memorable experience.
For the first 200 registrants who sign up by July 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM, an exclusive Karknocker DriFit t-shirt and medal await. Race-day registration is available but comes with a slightly higher fee of $35 (credit card only), while pre-registration costs just $30.
Competitors can look forward to cash prizes totaling over $1200, distributed among the top five male and female finishers as well as masters category winners ($75 each). The course record holders for both genders will also receive a special prize of $100. Additionally, medals are awarded to the first three men and women in 14 distinct age categories.
Packet pickup is conveniently scheduled at Rochester Running Company on Thursday from noon until 6:00 PM or race day starting at 5:30 PM at East Rochester High School (race location).
Spectators can anticipate an evening filled with excitement as the awards ceremony takes place around 8:15 PM, just after the finish line. The event is supported by a range of local sponsors including M&T Bank and numerous community businesses that contribute to making this race one of the highlights on East Rochester's calendar.
