Kato Fun Run 2027

Kato Fun Run is set to debut as an exciting community-led 5K fun run and celebration, taking place on Saturday, May 22, 2027, in North Mankato. This inaugural event aims to bring the local community together while raising funds for a crucial cause—supporting youth mental health and suicide prevention initiatives through Greater Mankato Area United Way.
The race is designed with inclusivity at its core, welcoming runners of all abilities alongside friends, family members, and volunteers. Participants can expect an engaging 5K course that winds through the scenic streets of North Mankato, offering a mix of flat terrain suitable for both competitive racers and casual walkers alike.
Beyond crossing the finish line, Kato Fun Run promises to extend the fun with a vibrant afterparty featuring live music by local band Dirty 930. The festivities will also include games and inflatables tailored for kids and adults, as well as activities such as bubbles, face painting, and more. Community booths from various organizations will provide resources and information about local services, fostering connections within the community.

Registration is now open with early bird pricing at $30 through December 31, 2026; standard registration from January 1 until May 21, 2027, costs $35; while on-the-day registrations will be available for $40. Race roster processing fees are applicable.
