Experience the excitement of volleyball at the Summer Volleyball Camps hosted by our community center! From July 7th to 9th, young athletes aged 4-7 can join the Youth Camp. This fun-filled camp introduces the basics of volleyball with a focus on building fundamental skills and fostering a love for the game. Players will be grouped according to their abilities, ensuring an inclusive environment where all skill levels are welcome. For students in grades 8-10, the Intermediate Skills Camp is perfect. Running concurrently from July 7th to 9th, this camp delves deeper into volleyball techniques by emphasizing combination skills and basic offensive/defensive systems. Participants will engage in competitive game situations that prepare them for their upcoming fall season. Looking ahead on July 14th, grades 10-12 can sharpen their defensive prowess at the Defense/Passing/Serving Camp from 12:30pm to 3pm. The camp focuses on essential skills and techniques required for effective defense, serving, and serve receive scenarios. Meanwhile, grades 10-12 will also have an opportunity to enhance their attacking, blocking, and setting abilities at the Attack/Blocking/Set Camp scheduled from 9am to 11:30am. This advanced camp offers a comprehensive look into these critical areas of volleyball play. On July 15th, grades 10-12 can participate in the High School Elite Camp, which runs from 9am to 12pm and then resumes from 1pm to 3:30pm. Focusing on skill improvement through both individual and team settings, this camp aims to prepare varsity athletes for their competitive fall season. For teams ready to showcase their skills, the Varsity Tournament is set for July 16th at 9am. Register your team by contacting Kelly Bethke; a $150 per team fee applies. Lastly, the Team Camp offers an opportunity for coaches and players to work closely with your squad from 9am to 3pm on TBD dates.
