Kenly Salute To Service 5K

On Saturday, November 7, 2026, the inaugural Kenly Salute To Service 5K will take place in Kenly, North Carolina, offering runners and walkers an opportunity to honor military veterans through fitness and community spirit. Organized by the Kenly American Legion and Kenly Parks & Recreation, this event is a heartfelt tribute to those who have served or are currently serving our nation.
Participants can expect a professionally timed 5K course that winds through scenic neighborhoods of Kenly, showcasing local landmarks while providing an engaging challenge for runners of all levels. The race promises not only competitive racing but also a chance for individuals and families to come together in support of military service members.
Race day begins at 9:00 AM with the start line bustling with energy as participants gather before setting off on their journey through the community. Post-race, refreshments will be available along with awards ceremonies that recognize top finishers across various age groups. Special recognition is given to local veterans who have made significant contributions to our country.
Registration for the 5K event opens at $35 until November 5 and increases to $45 from November 6 onwards. A one-mile walk option is also available, priced similarly but with slight variations in cost depending on when you register. For younger participants, a kids' dash offers an entry point into competitive running or walking.
Those who sign up by October 16th can secure custom race shirts and are guaranteed sizes ranging from Youth Small to Double-XL. Race timing services will be provided by Precision Race, ensuring accurate results that runners can access via touch-screen kiosks on-site or through online platforms like ItsYourRace.com for real-time updates.
