Kerry Orienteering Festival – Pre & Post OOCup events

The festival kicks off on July 25th, 2026, with a one-of-a-kind 3D Race event held at St Brendan’s College in Killarney.

This challenging course demands quick thinking and precise route planning to achieve a fast finish. The event begins at 4:00 PM with maps available on-site for those who secure their entry in advance.
On the final day of the festival, July 31st, orienteers will have the opportunity to explore Killarney’s historic town center through an Urban Orienteering race starting at 9:30 AM. This event takes place amidst the bustling streets and winding paths characteristic of a charming Irish town. Participants must weave their way through pedestrian traffic, tourists, and other runners while navigating Killarney's vibrant café culture and diverse shopping areas.
