About the Event

The Dartmouth 2026 Purple Night Run invites runners of all abilities to step up on September 26, 2026, under the stars at Mic Mac Canoe Club. This inclusive 5K aims not only to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer but also to fund critical research and support programs in Canada.
Starting from 6:30 PM with a check-in window from 5:30 PM, participants will enjoy a vibrant atmosphere as they lace up their shoes on this special night. The course is open for 90 minutes, providing ample time for all runners—whether you're aiming to complete the distance in record time or take your time at a comfortable pace.
Dress code for the evening encourages purple and glow-in-the-dark attire; costumes are highly encouraged! Participants will receive a finisher medal, running bib, and event swag as part of their race kit. These items ensure that every runner leaves with a memorable keepsake from this meaningful run.
The Purple Night Run is more than just a 5K—it's about coming together to make a difference in the lives affected by pancreatic cancer. With last year’s success seeing over 450 participants and $46,000 raised, organizers are setting their sights on an even greater impact this time around.
