Join a legacy of health, culture, and community at KnarvikMila 2026, one of Norway’s most storied running festivals. Celebrating its 43rd edition, the main event weekend takes place from September 4–6, 2026, in the scenic surroundings of Knarvik. Since its humble beginnings in 1983, the festival has expanded far beyond a single race to become a week-long celebration featuring high-octane competitions, cultural concerts, professional seminars, and family activities. Whether you are aiming for a personal best on the fjord-side roads or enjoying a coastal walk, KnarvikMila offers a distance and a pace for every participant.
The 2026 season kicks off early with the iconic Fløyen – Knarvik crossing on Saturday, May 9, followed by the grueling endurance test of the Knarvik Marathon on June 20. The main festival in September serves as the grand finale, featuring the prestigious Half Marathon, the competitive 10km and 5km races, and the ultimate challenge: the FjordViking, where athletes conquer the 21km, 10km, and 5km distances combined. For younger runners and families, the MiniMila, KnøtteMila, and the Sparebanken Norge Relay ensure that the "Greatest Running Party in Western Norway" is an inclusive experience for all ages.
Based at the Knarvik Stadion in Isdalstø, the event is renowned for its professional organization and the vibrant atmosphere of its race village. Participants can benefit from organized training groups in the Brekkeløypa trails leading up to the race, ensuring peak preparation for the varied terrain. With a strong commitment to solidarity and public health, KnarvikMila 2026 continues to be a pinnacle of the Norwegian sporting calendar. Secure your entry early to be part of this coastal tradition where every road and every runner leads to the heart of Knarvik.
