The KolmårdsTrailen is widely regarded as one of Sweden's most beautiful trail races, scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026. Set in the expansive and hilly terrain of the Kolmården forest near Norrköping, the event offers a challenging experience with a strong emphasis on the natural scenery. Participants can choose from distances of 21 km, 11 km, and 6 km, all of which feature technical sections and significant elevation gains. A unique aspect of the course is the final kilometer; all runners pass through the competition center before tackling a final, tough off-trail section in the woods before the finish line.

Kolmården is a large hilly forest ridge area in Östergötland and Södermanland, famously known for its wildlife park, the largest in Scandinavia. The surrounding region is home to approximately 165,000 residents (within the Norrköping municipality). The demographic profile of the area is roughly 80% Swedish, with significant international representation in the urban centers. The median household income in the region is approximately 310,000 SEK.
