About the Event

The "KINGMarathon," once a grueling 71-kilometer trek, was shortened six years ago to its current distance of 64 kilometers. This reduction not only shaved off nearly seven kilometers but also cut the total climbing effort from an arduous 3,850 meters to a more manageable 3,150 meters.
Organizers responded to participant feedback by trimming the route while preserving the essence and enjoyment that riders seek in such events. Maurizio Kastlunger, head of organization committee OC, elaborates on this change: "We've listened to our racers' wishes. The time spent cycling is now shorter but retains its thrilling nature. We're offering less volume yet maintaining a higher quality experience."
The new route still challenges cyclists with steep ascents and descents across varied terrain, ensuring an exhilarating ride through scenic landscapes. Riders can expect a mix of technical climbs and fast-flowing descents that test their endurance and skills alike.
