Krueger Reindeer Romp 5K Hosted by the Harris YMCA

The Krueger Reindeer Romp 5K has been an annual holiday tradition since its inception over a decade ago, bringing together the community to celebrate and support local YMCA programs. On Saturday, December 5, 2026, the event will return to SouthPark for its thirteenth year, sponsored by Coca-Cola Consolidated. Last year saw more than 1,000 participants come out in festive gear to run through the picturesque streets of Charlotte.
Participants can expect an energizing morning start at Harris YMCA on Quail Hollow Road, with a race beginning promptly at 8:00 AM for runners and a kids' obstacle course starting shortly after at 8:30 AM. This year's event will feature a new addition - commemorative long-sleeve t-shirts for all registrants, along with the option to upgrade to a cozy hoodie during registration for just $20.
The race itself offers a scenic route through SouthPark, allowing runners and their families to enjoy the holiday spirit while contributing to community programs that aim to strengthen bonds within Charlotte.
