On July 12, 2026, runners will gather for the Performans Karaib trail race, an exhilarating course that winds through the lush landscapes of Martinique. The race is set to challenge participants with its scenic and rugged terrain, offering a mix of natural beauty and physical demands.
The event features a challenging yet rewarding 6-kilometer route with approximately 299 meters of elevation gain, making it perfect for those who enjoy conquering steep ascents while taking in the stunning views. The race begins at Place du Nèg-Mawon in Place-D’Armes and ends triumphantly atop Morne Luilet in Morne-Pitaux.
Registration is now open online via Performans Karaib’s official website, www.performanskaraib.net, with a limit of 250 spots available. The registration deadline is July 6, 2026, at midnight local time. Participants can collect their race packets on Saturday, July 11th from 9:30 to 12:30 and again from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Packet pickup locations include InterSport Lamentin and the Place du Nèg-Mawon in Place-D’Armes.
On race day, runners will start their journey at 7:00 AM sharp. The course is designed with safety in mind; participants are advised to carry a first aid kit along with a minimum of half a liter of water plus their reusable cup for hydration stations.
After crossing the finish line atop Morne Luilet, competitors can look forward to receiving well-deserved awards at Petit-Bambou Cultural Center.
