La Foulée des Brettes

Join the 11th edition of La Foulée des Brettes, an exciting blend of sport and celebration held in Villabé. This annual event supports the Association Européenne contre les Leucodystrophies (ELA) through your participation and fundraising efforts.
This year's race features a refreshed course design with input from local running enthusiasts at "Villabé Courir pour le Plaisir." The new trails will take runners into the scenic Cirque de l'Essonne, a protected natural site offering breathtaking views.
The main event is a 15.8 km competitive run through varied terrain, followed by an 8.5 km walk for those preferring to explore at their own pace. A shorter 6 km race also offers runners a non-timed option.
For the young and energetic, there's the "Gadouilleuse" circuit tailored specifically for children aged 6-12 years old. All participants in this category receive medals upon completion of their unique course.
The event kicks off at the Paul Poisson Sports Complex on rue du chemin Vert with a festive village atmosphere where partners set up booths and provide support throughout the day. Registration opens at 8:00 AM, allowing ample time to socialize before the start times.
Competitive runners in the longer distance race will vie for top prizes awarded to both men and women as well as first-place finishers across various age categories. All participants receive a commemorative item regardless of their chosen event.
In previous years, this community-driven initiative has raised significant funds towards ELA's mission; last year alone saw €4725 donated directly from the race proceeds. Your continued support is crucial to surpassing these impressive totals and making a tangible difference in research efforts for leucodystrophies.
