La Galopée

La Galopée takes place on Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Franqueville-Saint-Pierre and Belbeuf, Seine-Maritime, Normandy, France. This 26th edition trail event features 10 different events ranging from 10km to 30km, plus kids' trails, Nordic walking, and hiking. Over 1,800 runners and walkers participate annually, with breathtaking panoramic views rewarding their efforts. Saturday evening features a semi-nocturnal 15km trail (Galonocturne), while Sunday includes the 30km Galopée, 15km Galopette, 10km Galopade, Nordic walking, hiking, and a Duo Mixte team event.

Event Logistics and Participant Information:

• Registration: Online via the event website.
• Bib Pickup: Saturday, June 6 (17:00-20:45) and Sunday, June 7 (07:15-09:30) at the Gymnase du Lycée Galilée, Franqueville-Saint-Pierre. Bibs contain timing chips – do not fold them. Wear visibly on front with safety pins.
• Bag Check & Showers: Free bag check and showers available at the Galilée complex.
• Physical Therapy: Massage therapists available for runners (to be confirmed).
• Parking & Access: Address: 461, Rue de Belbeuf, 76520 Franqueville-Saint-Pierre / 76240 Belbeuf. Access maps available on the event website.
• Awards: Given only to participants present at the ceremony. Awards for top 3 overall men/women in each individual timed event, top 3 teams in Duo Mixte, top 3 in Double 15 and 15-30 challenges, and top 1 per category in each individual timed event.
• Challenges: Double 15 (15km Saturday + 15km Sunday), 15-30 (15km Saturday + 30km Sunday).
• Volunteers: Needed for preparation, event day (welcome, marshalling, entertainment), and post-event teardown. Runners can also volunteer.

• Saturday Semi-Nocturnal (Galonocturne): 15km / 340m D+ starting at 21:00 – a unique night trail experience.
• Sunday 30km (Galopée): 30km / 600m D+ starting at 08:30 – for experienced trail runners seeking a longer challenge.
• Sunday 15km (Galopette): 15km / 340m D+ starting at 09:45 – accessible to intermediate runners and those building distance.
• Sunday 10km (Galopade): 10km / 174m D+ starting at 09:20 – perfect for beginners or those seeking a shorter run.
• Duo Mixte (Sunday 15km): 2-person team trail – great for pairs, clubs, or friends.
• Nordic Walking (Galonordique): 15km / 340m D+ starting at 09:50 – musical warm-up at 09:00.
• Hiking (Galopédestre): 10km / 174m D+ starting at 09:20 – non-competitive walking.
• Kid'Trail (Saturday): Free children's trail for ages born 2015-2018 (approx. 8-11 years).
• Scenic Highlights: Breathtaking panoramic views along the course reward the effort.
• Atmosphere: Since 1999, La Galopée has brought together over 1,800 participants annually, from beginners to experienced trail runners. Musical warm-ups, a festive atmosphere, and volunteer support make this a vibrant community event.
• Spectator Experience: Friends and family can cheer at the start/finish area, enjoy the park setting, and celebrate finishers throughout the weekend.
