About the Event

La Nuit Trail Run invites runners and hikers to experience Cedar Ridge Preserve under the moonlit sky on July 24-25, 2026. This unique race offers various distances including a challenging 9-hour endurance run, a scenic 1-mile hike-n-run, and traditional 5k and 10k races.
The event kicks off at 7:30 PM with the 5k and 10k events, while the longer duration races begin earlier. The course features a 3.2 mile loop that winds through forested areas, around serene Cattail Pond, and across grassy landscapes. Runners will encounter varied terrain including steep climbs, switchbacks, rocky steps, and gentle descents. Reflective markers guide participants along well-lit trails, ensuring safety throughout the night.
For those opting for the 9-hour relay or individual endurance races (3, 6, and 9 hours), the challenge lies in navigating this rigorous loop multiple times while managing fatigue. These runners will enjoy familiarizing themselves with each section of the trail as they circle back to the start/finish line repeatedly. The race concludes at midnight on July 25th.
Aid stations are strategically placed along the route, providing essential hydration and nutrition including water, Gatorade, pickle juice, sandwiches, fruit, snacks like Ramen noodles and hot dogs, ensuring runners can refuel throughout their journey.
Participants will be treated to a variety of awards, from finisher medals for all who complete their respective courses to top honors in specific categories such as overall male/female winners and age group distinctions.
La Nuit Trail Run is not just about competition; it's an opportunity to explore the beauty of Cedar Ridge Preserve after dark. The event supports Equip Disciples, a non-profit organization dedicated to equipping Bible Study leaders in remote regions of DR Congo and Rwanda, adding social impact to your athletic endeavor.
