La Reinette is an inclusive and fun-filled race that offers three distinct categories on its 7-kilometer semi-urban course. Participants can choose from running, walking, or joining the mixed duo category which combines both activities. The race route winds through a charming urban setting with no elevation changes, ensuring a smooth experience for all levels of fitness enthusiasts. Each participant is equipped with an electronic chip embedded in their bib number to record their times accurately and efficiently. The pace is entirely up to each individual runner or walker, making it perfect for casual exercisers as well as those looking for a competitive edge. Biking poles are not allowed during the event, creating an even playing field for all participants. For mixed duos, both team members must cross the finish line simultaneously, fostering teamwork and camaraderie among pairs of friends or family members. In addition to these categories, La Reinette also features two unique challenges: - The Mother/Daughter Challenge: This initiative encourages intergenerational participation with no requirement for participants to complete the race together. - The Pink Ribbon Challenge: Aimed at groups of women from various walks of life—such as friends, colleagues, or members of schools/universities and associations. Each group can register under a single name without needing to finish together. Registration fees are set at 10 euros per participant (excluding the online platform management fee of 1.50 euros). This cost includes a donation of 4 euros from each entry towards cancer research through the League Against Cancer, as well as all organizational expenses such as bibs with embedded chips, race day logistics, refreshments along the route, communication efforts, and operational costs. La Reinette not only promotes physical activity but also supports an important cause while celebrating community spirit.
