Set against the picturesque backdrop of Saint-Georges-de-Reneins on October 25, 2026, Run & Moi invites runners to experience the charm and hospitality of this small town nestled along the right bank of the Saône River. Just a short drive from Lyon and Villefranche-sur-Saône, the race takes place in late autumn when morning mist hugs the riverbanks, creating an enchanting atmosphere for early starters.
The course begins and ends at Parc Montchervet near the town hall before venturing through charming hamlets like Vallières and Chagny. Runners will encounter farm tracks around Nachon and scenic routes along the Saône Riverbank at Port Rivière, as well as the picturesque Route du Lac with its serene lake views. The race route also features a nod to local culture by crossing over the Autoroute du Soleil multiple times.
With an elevation range of just 77 meters between start and finish, this flat course offers runners the opportunity to maintain a steady pace throughout both the 10K and half marathon distances. Organized since 2018 by a dedicated local club, Run & Moi is known for its friendly atmosphere and stress-free environment.
Post-race festivities include family-friendly kids' races of 500 meters and 1.5 kilometers within Parc Montchervet, making the event appealing to all ages. Participants can also visit the Château de Laye with its stunning gardens featuring plane trees and a long reflecting pool. History enthusiasts will appreciate learning about Ludna, an ancient settlement unearthed during railway construction in the 19th century.
For recovery, runners are encouraged to enjoy a glass of Beaujolais wine at local establishments while sampling Saône fried fish—a perfect way to celebrate this memorable race day experience.
