Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Italy’s Lake Maggiore as you lace up for an unforgettable running experience along one of its most picturesque routes. The Lake Maggiore Marathon (LMM) invites runners to traverse 42 kilometers from Arona to Pallanza, with stunning views of shimmering waters and rolling hills at every turn.
The event offers a variety of distances to suit all levels of runners: the full marathon for those seeking an ambitious challenge; a challenging half marathon that covers 33 kilometers through some of the most enchanting landscapes around Lake Maggiore; and a shorter yet equally scenic 10-kilometer course. Each route weaves through charming villages, past historic landmarks, and along the serene Borromean Gulf.
As you set off from Arona, with its iconic church towering over the lakefront, your journey will take you across tranquil shores and verdant hillsides dotted with villas that have been drawing visitors for centuries. The race winds around the picturesque islands of the Borromean archipelago, offering a rare glimpse into their secluded beauty.
