Last at the Lake 50k & Last Standing

West Point Lake, Georgia. Turkey Run Trail. Last at the Lake returns on Saturday, July 25, 2026, starting at 8:00 AM. Choose Last Man Standing (5K loop every hour — last runner standing wins $100) or 50K trail race (10 loops of the 5K course — fastest finisher wins $100). Scenic grassy trails, shaded single‑track, lake views, and about 150 ft of elevation gain per loop. Limited to 100 runners total. All finishers receive a medal and race t‑shirt. Awards for top 3 male and female in each event.

Location — West Point Lake, Georgia (Turkey Run Trail):

• West Point Lake is a 25,900‑acre reservoir on the Chattahoochee River, on the border of Georgia and Alabama, about 70 miles southwest of Atlanta
• Turkey Run Trail is a multi‑use trail within the West Point Lake recreation area
• The course: scenic grassy trails along the lake, shaded single‑track through the woods, and a short stretch of pavement (less than 0.5 miles)
• Approximately 150 ft of elevation gain per loop — rolling, not flat, but not mountainous
• Well‑marked course with great lake views and natural shade in some sections

Last Man Standing Format:

• Runners complete a 5K loop every hour, on the hour
• The race continues until only one runner remains
• The final runner to complete a loop within the hour wins $100
• If you miss the cutoff (not back in time to start the next loop), you are eliminated
• This is a true test of endurance, pacing, and mental fortitude

50K Trail Race Format:

• Classic ultra: 10 loops of the 5K course (total approximately 31 miles — slightly short of 50K? The race is called 50K but 10 x 5K = 50 km exactly)
• First runner to complete all 10 laps wins $100
• Chip timing for each loop — overall time, not just fastest lap
• Suitable for experienced ultra runners and first‑time 50K participants

• Chip timing (lap splits for Last Man Standing, total time for 50K)

• No refunds? Check event policy — likely no refunds close to race date
• No dogs allowed on the trail
• Strollers not recommended on single‑track sections

Course Support & Good Vibes:

• Friendly, low‑key atmosphere — not a huge corporate race, just good trail running
• Aid station volunteers will keep you fueled and encouraged
