Le Dernier Survivant – Bois de Boulogne

Bois de Boulogne, the sprawling green lung of Paris, sets the stage for an extraordinary endurance challenge: Le Dernier Survivant. Scheduled for Sunday, August 23, 2026, this unique six-hour race offers runners and walkers alike a chance to explore their limits in a picturesque setting.
The event takes place around Lac Inférieur within Bois de Boulogne, starting at 9 AM sharp with participants free to run or walk as they see fit. The course is an easy-to-follow loop of approximately 2.7 kilometers that circles the lake. Each lap completed adds up towards individual achievements and records.
Competitors can aim for personal milestones: a single marathon (16 laps), a challenging ultra-distance goal like completing 45.9 kilometers, or even pushing beyond to reach 81 kilometers in just six hours. The race is open-ended, allowing participants to adjust their pace according to their comfort level and endurance.
A key highlight of the event is its convivial atmosphere. Runners are encouraged to share this special day with friends and fellow enthusiasts while enjoying a picturesque backdrop that includes lush greenery and serene water views. A base camp near Lac Inférieur provides essential amenities such as free parking on Sundays, access to refreshments like coffee, pastries, and energy bars at the aid station.
For those who wish to take their challenge further, there's an additional twist: The Final of Survivors. Participants must complete 24 laps before the race clock hits 3 PM in order to qualify for this intense finale. At precisely 3 PM, all qualifiers will start together on a final sprint around Lac Inférieur, aiming to finish one last lap within just 15 minutes. This grueling competition continues until only one runner remains standing—this ultimate survivor earns the title and a special trophy.
