Souffle des Crêtes, an exhilarating trail running race set against the backdrop of nature's raw beauty, takes place on October 31, 2026, in Villeneuve-la-Comptal. Organized by the Amicale des Sapeurs-Pompiers de Castelnaudary, this event promises a blend of scenic routes and technical challenges. Participants will navigate through a diverse landscape featuring mostly unpaved trails, forest paths, natural tracks, and ridge lines that offer stunning vistas and unique terrain variations. The course winds through an environment where the ruggedness of the land presents its own set of hurdles, including steep ascents, tricky descents, and unpredictable weather conditions. While distances and elevation gains are provided as estimates, organizers reserve the right to alter routes at any time for safety reasons or due to external constraints. Any changes will be communicated promptly to all runners via official channels. The race begins and concludes at the Salle des Fêtes in Villeneuve-la-Comptal, providing a central hub for both competitors and spectators alike. This event not only tests physical endurance but also immerses participants in the serene beauty of the region's natural splendor.
