Our sessions are scheduled on Sundays from 11:15 am to 12 pm during July and August—specifically on 26th, 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd of these months. For beginners still mastering the basics or those just off training wheels, we offer AusBike 1st Gear. This introductory program focuses on building fundamental skills in a safe and supportive environment, ensuring every participant feels confident as they pedal into their cycling journey. Those ready to take it up a notch can join AusBike 2nd Gear. Aimed at kids who have already developed basic riding abilities—such as starting and stopping safely—and are now eager to learn more advanced skills like hand signals, this program will challenge them while still keeping the experience enjoyable. All participants must bring their own bike and helmet for safety reasons. Payment is required upfront for all sessions, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish. AusBike stands out as Australia’s premier cycling education initiative, crafted by expert coaches and delivered through accredited instructors. The program spans various locations including basketball courts, indoor halls, local pump tracks, and footy ovals, offering a diverse range of terrains for learning and fun. This program caters to all levels of bike riding experience, making it accessible and inclusive for every child who wants to embrace the joy of cycling. With its interactive and progressive approach, AusBikers will progress from beginner skills to more advanced techniques, ultimately graduating with both the skills and confidence needed for a lifetime of two-wheeled adventures. About Thornbury
Learn more about the host city, Thornbury.
Thornbury is one of the most interesting market towns in South Gloucestershire, known for historic tales of treason, murders and for its modern day array of independent shops. It boasts a fully renovated Tudor castle and in summer flowers are all around as people take part in the towns competition, "Thornbury in Bloom". Apart from its own attractions, it's a convenient base or stop for those exploring the West Country. It is home to a former railway station. A local campaign seeks its reopening.
