The Leavenworth Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, starting at 7:00 AM PDT in Leavenworth, WA. This stunningly beautiful course begins near the renowned Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area, with marathoners enjoying a fast 9-mile journey through scenic Icicle Canyon before heading to the Bavarian Village of Leavenworth. The marathon has a 6-hour time limit; the half marathon has a 4-hour time limit and is walker-friendly.

Course Details — Marathon:

Starts near Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area
9-mile journey through Icicle Canyon
Fully closed southbound lane on East Leavenworth Road
Cross Wenatchee River Bridge into Bavarian Village
Wooded riverfront parks and trails
Second lap after rejoining Icicle Road
Finish at Enchantment Park Event Center with roaring crowd
Mix of paved roads, dirt roads, paths, and trails
Surrounded by impressive mountains — salmon spawning, wildlife possible

Course Details — Half Marathon:

Starts at Enchantment Park
Parades through heart of Bavarian Village in first mile
Turn right on 9th Street into Riverfront Park
Follows same route as marathon back to Enchantment Park finish

Cutoff Times:

Marathon: 6 hours (strict due to course restrictions)
Half Marathon: 4 hours
Walkers welcome in half marathon only
