Legendary First Trail - Changbai Mountain Race 2026 (2026传奇首野长白山越野赛)
About the Event
Billed as an ideal first trail race, this event starts September 13 at the Wanda International Resort in Fusong County, Baishan, Jilin, capped at 2,000 runners across 40K "New Journey of Discovery," 25K "New Trail Power," and 5K "Light Mountain Experience." Registration opens July 27 at 10:00, with early-bird pricing through August 10. The 40K (600 runners, 41.6km actual, 1,913m gain, ITRA ~1 point) runs a 9-hour cutoff; the 25K (800 runners, 25.6km, 1,229m gain, ITRA ~1 point) runs a 6-hour cutoff; the 5K (600 runners, 5.6km, 339m gain) runs a 2-hour cutoff. Changbai Mountain, Northeast China's most storied peak, is home to the sacred Heaven Lake and old-growth forest turning color in September -- both a world-class ecotourism destination and, thanks to its terrain, considered the birthplace of China's mountain outdoor sports scene. First-timers get pre-race coaching, a meet-up, and a full welcome ceremony, with resort perks before and after the race: cable-car summit rides, forest hikes, hot-spring soaks, and a water park.
