Les Boucles de Saint-Thonan - Challenge de l'Elorn

The "Boucles de Saint-Thonan" race returns on Sunday, September 6, 2026, offering runners and walkers an engaging day out in the picturesque countryside around Saint Thonan. Participants can pick up their packets at Leclerc Saint Thonan from 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00 on Saturday, September 5th or directly at the school near the starting line of the race from 8:30 AM onwards on Sunday.
The event features two routes designed for runners looking to challenge themselves in a friendly atmosphere. The shorter route is a 5 km circuit that offers an ideal option for those easing back into running after a break, as well as athletes who use it as part of their cross-training routine. This loop is flat and manageable, allowing participants to complete the course twice if they choose.
The longer distance spans 10 kilometers, starting at 10:30 AM on race day. It's perfect for seasoned runners seeking a more competitive experience while still enjoying the relaxed vibe that characterizes this event. Both courses are suitable for beginners and experienced athletes alike, with no significant obstacles to hinder performance or enjoyment.
Registration opens online via Klikego from January 12, 2026, allowing participants ample time to secure their spots in either race category. The download of the PPS (Pathway Prevention Health) number is mandatory upon registration for runners but not required for those participating in the walking event.
In addition to running races, a 10 km walk will be held at 9:00 AM on Sunday morning with no medical certificate needed for participation. This walk invites friends and family to join together as they explore the scenic rural landscapes around Saint Thonan.
