Join the vibrant community of runners for Les Foulées Bleues, scheduled to take place on September 20th in Concarneau. This year’s edition features two distinct races: a scenic 7 km run and an exhilarating half-marathon covering 13.1 kilometers.
The Petite Bleue, starting at 10:00 AM from Quai de la Croix, is designed for runners looking to experience the joy of racing in a large group. The flat course offers minimal challenges with stunning views along Concarneau’s waterfront and through picturesque urban landscapes, making it an ideal introduction to competitive running.
For those seeking more adventure, Les Foulées Bleues begins at 10:30 AM on the same quai. This half-marathon weaves a unique route that combines road sections with trails along coastal paths and inland tracks. Runners will enjoy breathtaking sea views as they traverse through historic sites like Ville Close and follow parts of the GR 34 trail, culminating in an energetic finish in the heart of Concarneau.
Both races feature diverse terrain, including gentle ascents and descents that add character to each mile. The half-marathon course includes a technical section near Centre Equestre de Kerguéres, which is only accessible on race day. This segment adds an element of challenge for seasoned runners while maintaining accessibility for those with some trail experience.
Participants are encouraged to support local causes by registering through the official platform starting June 25th at 6:00 PM. Entry fees vary depending on when you sign up, and every registration includes a donation towards the Association des Jeunes Diabétiques de France.
