Step into a weekend of historic athleticism at the 42nd Foulées de Bayeux, returning to the medieval heart of Normandy on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29, 2026. This isn't just a race; it’s a regional institution that bridges the gap between elite performance and family fun. Set against the backdrop of Bayeux’s storied streets, the event invites runners to challenge their limits while soaking in the unique atmosphere of one of France's most beautiful heritage cities.

The 2026 program is packed with variety, ensuring every athlete finds their perfect distance. Sunday features the heavy hitters: the Marathon des Héros (starting from Grandcamp-Maisy), the Alain Buchart Semi-Marathon, and the high-speed 10km and 5km road races. All Sunday races carry the prestigious FFA Label, making them official qualifiers for the French National Championships. Saturday is dedicated to community and youth, featuring new hiking formats ("Promenade" and "Active Walk"), intergenerational runs, and a full slate of children's races ranging from a 400m sprint for toddlers to 2km routes for teens.

Logistics are designed for a seamless experience. The event hub at Stade Henry Jeanne serves as the finish line for all races and the heart of the festive village. In line with modern standards, medical certificates are no longer required; simply provide your FFA license or complete the online Health Prevention Path (PPS). To round out the experience, participants can join the Saturday night Pasta Party at the race village.
