Les Foulées Épannaises

Foulées Epannaises offers runners two options for their upcoming race day: a scenic and manageable 5km route or the slightly more challenging yet rewarding 10km course. Both races start on Grande Rue, located in the quaint town of Epannes (79270), with departures at 9:15 AM for the shorter distance and 10:15 AM for those choosing to tackle the longer route.
The 5km race is a single loop that covers approximately 5 kilometers on smooth, asphalt roads. The course features minimal elevation changes—only about +7 meters uphill and -8 meters downhill—which makes it ideal for runners of all levels looking for a quick, flat run through picturesque surroundings.
For those who wish to extend their journey, the 10km race offers double the distance with two laps around the same loop. This course retains its gentle terrain profile but provides twice as much opportunity to take in the local scenery and enjoy the community atmosphere along Grande Rue.
A hydration station is available at the halfway mark for both distances, ensuring runners stay hydrated throughout their run. Participants can pick up their race packets either on Saturday, September 12th, from Foulées Niort’s store, or on Sunday morning between 8:00 AM and 9:45 AM in Epannes’ municipal hall.
Registration fees are as follows:
- 5km: €7 for licensed athletes with the French Federation of Athletics (FFA) and €8 for non-licensed runners.
- 10km: €11 for FFA members and €12 for those without a license.
