Les Foulées Saulnièroises

The Foulées Saulnièroises, now in its sixth year, offers runners and walkers of all ages an engaging day filled with various activities organized by the Escrimez-vous Saulnières! association and the local festival committee. The event aims to support health-focused sports initiatives within the community.
Starting early on race morning at 9:00 AM, participants can choose from a range of distances including a 21km open course for those seeking longer runs. For individuals who prefer shorter routes or scenic walks, there are three different randonnees available—5km, 8km, and 15km—at just 5€ to be paid on site.
At 9:30 AM, the event will feature a poignant release of balloons in memory of Delphine Chiaverina. Aiming to celebrate inclusivity, at 9:45 AM begins an 11.5km mixed-gender race followed by a dedicated women's course covering 7.5km starting promptly at 10:00 AM.
For families and younger participants, the event includes special children’s races designed for kids born between 2018 to 2020 (covering 750m), those born in 2016-2017 (running 1.5km), and a longer option of 2.25km for those aged from 2014 to 2015.
The day continues with a health-focused mixed-gender race at the same time as the children’s races, allowing parents to participate alongside their kids. Refreshments are available on-site throughout the event, and there will be games tailored specifically for young visitors.
A highlight of the afternoon is the sabre competition starting from 1:00 PM in a local sports hall, providing an additional competitive element that complements the running events.
Race numbers can be collected directly at the venue beginning from 8:00 AM on race day. For those looking to enjoy their time without worrying about childcare, there’s also a dedicated children's village offering supervised care for half-day sessions (9:00 AM -12:00 PM or 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM) at just 3€.
