Les Marcels à Plescop 2026

The Marcels at Plescops is an annual running and walking event that brings together runners of all ages for two distinct days packed with fun activities. The first day, Saturday the 17th of October 2026, hosts a special youth-oriented program called "Les Petits Marcels" from 4 PM to 5:45 PM at Plescops sports complex.
For children aged between five and fifteen years old, this event offers a unique opportunity to participate in three different races tailored by age group. The distances are set at 400 meters for the youngest runners, 800 meters for those slightly older, and 1200 meters for teenagers. These races are free of charge with no online registration available; participants must sign up on-site during the specified time frame and will need a parent or guardian's authorization to take part in the event.
The main day of festivities falls on Sunday, October 18th, starting at 9:45 AM with an organized warm-up session. At precisely 10 AM, adult runners aged sixteen years and above can join either running or walking events that traverse through Plescops and briefly cross into Vannes over a distance of eight kilometers.
Unlike the children's races on Saturday, this event for adults does not feature timed results nor rankings but encourages participants to enjoy the scenic routes while supporting local causes. The race itself is open to both licensed athletes and casual runners with a cap at 2600 registrants. All participants are required to collect their complimentary t-shirts before or during the day of the run, which must be worn throughout.
A new addition for this year's edition includes an accessible circuit designed specifically for individuals with reduced mobility, adding inclusivity to the event’s offerings.
Participants can also show support by making donations on-site towards "Courir, Marcher pour Donner," a charitable initiative dedicated to aiding those in need. The deadline for signing up is Friday, October 16th, and tee-shirt collection will be available at Plescops sports complex from Saturday the 17th until Sunday morning before the race begins.
