Light Up for Leah 5k

On the evening of Friday, September 18, 2026, Saluda Shoals Park will host the fourth annual Light Up for Leah 5K Run/Walk. This poignant event honors children who have lost their lives after battling pediatric cancer or blood disorders. Named in memory of Leah, a young girl whose spirit continues to inspire others, this race aims to raise awareness and funds for CAMP KEMO Programs at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital-Midlands.
Participants will gather at 7 p.m., with the event beginning under the glow of twilight as runners and walkers come together in solidarity. The course winds through Saluda Shoals Park's picturesque trails, offering a serene backdrop that contrasts beautifully against the emotional significance of the evening. Alongside the run/walk, there are opportunities to participate in the Campfire Kids activities designed for younger children.
Race day packet pickup starts at 5:30 p.m., giving participants ample time to collect their materials and prepare for an evening filled with reflection and community support. The event not only celebrates Leah's memory but also pays tribute to all those affected by pediatric cancer, creating a powerful atmosphere of unity and hope.
